From Favre, to Rodgers, to Love; Green Bay's 32-year legacy of QB greatness will be extended to the 2028 season. After a drawn-out contract process that eventually led to #10's holdout, Green Bay announced that Jordan Love has signed a 4-year $220 million extension. Love will also receive a $75 million signing bonus.

Per season, Love now makes approximately $1 million more than Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa and Lions QB Jared Goff, $2 million more than Chargers QB Justin Herbert and Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, and $3 million more than Eagles QB Jalen Hurts. Love's yearly salary matches Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence's and Bengals QB Joe Burrow. Additionally, Love will make more per year than the legendary Dan Marino did in his entire NFL career.

Love is now tied for the highest-paid QB in NFL history.

Love has only spent one season as an NFL starter, yet he has shown tremendous talent on the field. Last season, Love had a pretty big shadow to step out of as he filled Aaron Rodgers' role as Packers starting QB. Love had more than his fair share of doubters and was stellar in silencing them. Last season, Jordan Love threw for 35 TD passes (second in the NFL), and 4,765 yards. Love led the Packers to a 9-8 record and did something that neither Favre nor Rodgers did in their illustrious careers: #10 guided the Packers to a playoff run in his first year as a starter. Love showed that not only could he handle the heat on the field, but that he's also worthy of being the Packers next franchise QB. Packers GM Brian Gutekunst spoke about his high expectations for the Packers QB,

"How [Jordan Love] handled this past year, becoming the guy and handling that pressure, coming out the other side of it gave us a lot of confidence that this is the guy that’s going to lead us into the future."

Love's legendary predecessor, #12 himself, congratulated the Packers new franchise QB on the NFL Network,

"I want to give a shoutout to Jordan Love becoming the highest paid player in the NFL. J-Love, don’t spend it all in one place. But if you do, I still have a house in Green Bay up for sale."
