The 2023 season was forecast to be one of frustration for the Green Bay Packers. The team traded future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, and lost legendary wide receiver Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders just one season prior. The Packers became the NFL's youngest team for the third season in a row, with an average age of only 25.

However, the Packers broke through low expectations and rose above any and all doubts. The NFL's youngest team delivered a season full of hope and introduced promising young players, who are certain to become stars on the field.

The Packers were inescapable during the regular season and made a strong run in the playoffs. Here are the top 4 most memorable moments from last season.

4. Strong Defense Showing Off

Darnell Savage caught a 64-yard pick-six during the 2023 NFC Wild Card Game against the Dallas Cowboys.

With powerhouses like Rashan Gary eating up quarterbacks for sacks left and right, it's no surprise that the 2023 Packers defense was the second best in the NFC North overall rankings. The Packers defense also saw an uptick in picks since the 2022 season, hauling in 16 interceptions before the 2023 season came to a close. In the NFC Wild Card game, Packers safety Darnell Savage picked off Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott. Savage rumbled to the endzone, finishing off a beautiful 64-yard pick-six.

3. Aaron Jones's Playoff Performance

Aaron Jones scored three touchdowns during the 2023 NFC Wild Card Game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Aaron Jones was the Packers star running back for several years, and the team often relied on his explosive speed and agility to carry them to victory. However, age was catching up to the star running back who suffered a knee injury in week 11. But Jones showed the football world that he is an overcomer and recovered as quick as lightning. Jones only missed a little more than three weeks of action. In the NFC Wild Card Game, Jones made some noise by scoring three touchdowns, playing a huge role in securing the victory for the Packers. Jones is sure to be missed during the upcoming Packers season.

2. Getting to Love Our New Quarterback

Jordan Love threw a 33 yard bomb to Jayden Reed for a TD during the week 17 game against the Minnesota Vikings, securing a seat in the playoffs.

After Aaron Rodgers left Green Bay for the bright lights of New York, the public's perception of the Packers changed. Fans and naysayers alike didn't have high expectations for the Packers new quarterback. Thankfully, he proved many of us wrong during the 2023 season. It turned out that in Rodgers's absence, all we needed was Love. Jordan Love, that is. Throughout the season, Love passed for 35 TDs, and 4,765 passing yards. He also led the Packers to 9 regular season wins, and advanced to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Love showed the football world that he's not only a capable quarterback, but GOAT material. Love took many opportunities to show off his cannon of an arm. During the week 17 game against hated rival Minnesota Vikings, Jordan Love threw a bomb down the field to WR Jayden Reed, who scored a 33-yard TD. With this game, Love closed the 2023 season with hope, by securing a playoff seat for the Packers.

1. Beating the Chicago Bears

The heated rivalry between the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers has been around since 1921. The Packers and Bears have faced off in 208 regular season and postseason games, and the war continued on the first week of the 2023 season. Packers fans were worried. This would be the team's first season without Aaron Rodgers at quarterback, and their second without Davante Adams. Packers fans wondered if the Chicago Bears would beat our beloved team, and then rub it in our faces, something we'd have to hear about for BLAH BLAH BLAH because offseason trash talking just happens to be one of Bears fans' favorite pastimes. Meanwhile, the Bears believed it would be easier to defeat the Packers, this season. After all, the Bears thought they had their quarterback of the future in Justin Fields and the Packers were without the legendary Aaron Rodgers. Needless to say, Packers fans were delighted to prove Bears fans wrong once again. The Packers rallied together and defeated the Bears 38-20. Nothing is sweeter to a Packers fan than the tears of Bears fans, so this moment is at the very top of this list.
