Packers 2024: New Schedule, Drama, Predictions, & Super Bowl?

The 2024 Green Bay Packers have their eyes on one goal: Super Bowl 59.
2024 Green Bay Packers: Super Bowl Bound?

This year's Green Bay Packers schedule has officially been released and there's plenty to be excited about. 2024 looks to be the season to watch for the NFL's youngest team. Primed to make a run deep into the playoffs, this is what the schedule looks like for the Green Bay Packers. Here is our prediction filled run-down for your 2024 Green Bay Packers.

Week One: @ Philadelphia Eagles - Friday 9/6 - 7:15 PM - Arena Corinthians, Sau Paulo, Brazil

Packers Sau Paulo style

Holy Rio de Janeiro, how did our beloved Packers end up in Brazil?

The NFL has an increasing slate of overseas games and this year, the Packers drew the Eagles in beautiful Sau Paulo. It's a huge benefit for the Packers, who play on a neutral turf, despite this still counting as an official road game. The Eagles, however give up a home game for this one, which isn't exactly a fortuitous way to start the year. This will be the Green Bay Packers first trip to Brazil and their second overseas game ever (2022 London).

Look for the Eagles to test the Packers new run defense by feeding the ball to newly signed free agent RB Saquon Barkley, but the Jeff Hafley led Packers defense will stand up to the test. Jordan Love, a healthy Christian Watson, and the dominant tight end duo of Tucker Kraft/Luke Musgrave will be too much for the Philadelphia Eagles to overcome. The Green Bay hydra of Josh Jacobs, AJ Dillon, and Marshawn Lloyd will close the game out late to seal the deal in what will be the Packers first win of the season.

Prediction: Packers 31, Eagles 20

Packers record: 1-0

Interesting Fact: Sau Paulo locals hate the color green, as it's the same color arch rival soccer club Palmeiras wears.

Week Two: vs Indianapolis Colts - Sunday 9/15 - 12:00PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Colts QB Anthony Richardson

The Packers home opener will feature highly touted QB Anthony Richardson, back from an injury plagued rookie season and looking to prove he's a legitimate NFL starter.

Richardson may prove formidable, but Green Bay will also need to be ready for a premiere running back for the second week in a row. Former Badger Jonathan Taylor has developed into one of the league's very best.

Still, it's hard to imagine Green Bay letting down in the home opener against an inexperienced Richardson still trying to find his footing in the NFL. Jordan Love and the boys will prove to be too much for the Colts defense, who will be worn down late in the game by Packers RB Josh Jacobs.

Prediction: Packers 27, Colts 10

Packers Record: 2-0

Interesting Fact: Last season, the Packers were rumored to be interested in making a trade for Jonathan Taylor, but reportedly failed to make it happen when the Colts held out for WR Christian Watson.

Week Three: @ Tennessee Titans - Sunday 9/22 - 12:00PM - Nissan Stadium, Nashville, TN

Titans guard Peter Skoronski

The new look Titans bring in first year head coach Bill Callahan to take over a disappointing 6-11 team. Led by talented second year quarterback Will Levis, the Titans look to rebound behind a revamped offensive line featuring two first round picks in Peter Skoronski and JC Latham, but will it be enough to protect Levis from this aggressive new-look Packers defense?

Look for the Packers to take advantage of a young team in rebuild mode with an impressive defensive showing led by new coordinator Jeff Hafley. Packers take the lead early, forcing Tennessee to abandon the run, which means good eats for the likes of Rashan Gary and Kenny Pickett.

Prediction: Packers 23, Titans 13

Packers Record: 3-0

Interesting Fact: Titans second year guard Peter Skoronski is the grandson of Lombardi era Packers tackle Bob Skoronski.

Week Four: vs Minnesota Vikings - Sunday 9/29 - 12:00PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Vikings RB Aaron Jones

Week 4 features the hated Minnesota Vikings coming to Lambeau Field for the first of this season's two-game set - and this time with a familiar face. Look for Minnesota to run the ball early and often behind former Packer Aaron Jones, who will look for something to prove against his former team.

Even with Jones the Vikings will struggle in the passing game led by journeyman QB Sam Darnold. Green Bay's secondary will prove to be too dominant to overcome even with Justin Jefferson catching passes for Darnold.

Who can forget Jordan Love's performance against the Vikings last season to keep the Packers playoff hopes alive? On the road, the Packers quarterback accounted for four touchdowns in a 33-10 Sunday Night Football victory over the Vikings. Look for that trend to continue here.

Predictions: Packers 37, Vikings 13

Packers Record: 4-0

Interesting Fact: This will be Aaron Jones' first trip to Lambeau Field in another team's jersey.

Week Five: @ Los Angeles Rams - Sunday 10/6 - 3:25PM - SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA

Rams QB Matt Stafford looks to return to his Super Bowl winning ways.

Green Bay is Hollywood bound in week 5 of the young NFL season. The Packers are riding a 4-0 wave (according to our predictions), but this game has all the hallmarks of a trap.

A well-coached club is always difficult to beat on the road and Sean McVay will have this Rams team ready. Look for veteran quarterback Matt Stafford to get healthy in a bounce back year, as the Rams prove to be one of the teams to beat in the NFC.

The Rams take advantage of a sloppy game from the young Green Bay Packers, who let down for the first time in 2024 under the bright lights of LA.

Prediction: Rams 24, Green Bay 16

Packers Record: 4-1

Interesting Fact: Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur has never lost to Sean McVay.

Week Six: vs Arizona Cardinals - Sunday 10/13 - 12:00PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Kyler Murray vs Green Bay Packers

Look for Green Bay to hit all cylinders coming off of a surprise loss to the Rams.

This one will be fun!

With Kyler Murray returning to his previous ways as one of the top run/pass dual threats in the league, look for a shootout between the two teams. A motivated Jordan Love will not disappoint, as he will lead this young team back on track after the disappointing loss to the Rams.

Look for the newly aggressive Packers defense to come up with the key turnovers that will make the difference in this highly anticipated shootout.

Prediction: Packers 37, Cardinals 30

Packers Record: 5-1

Interesting Fact: It will be brother vs brother in this one, as Cardinals rookie CB Max Melton squares off against Green Bay WR Bo Melton.

Week Seven: vs Houston Texans - Sunday 10/20 - 12:00PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Two of the NFL's most talented young QBs: Jordan Love and C.J. Stroud

Two of the hottest young quarterbacks in the league face each other for the very first time, as Jordan Love and CJ Stroud finally meet in the head-to-head matchup we've all been waiting for.

Last year, the Texans proved to be a dominant force under new head coach DeMeco Ryans, a master motivator who coaches to his player's strengths. It all proved to be fruitful for Stroud, who threw for over 4,000 yards and 23 TDs on his way to leading the Texans to the playoffs in his rookie season.

Look for Houston to reassert its dominance this year and prove to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender with new addition WR Stefon Diggs. Love and the Packers will be right there with them, but Stroud and the Texans will do just enough to win this ball game.

How isn't this one on prime time?

Prediction: Texans 31, Packers 27

Packers Record: 5-2

Interesting Tidbit: Stefon Diggs has played 10 games against the Green Bay Packers and scored touchdowns in all but two of them.

Week Eight: @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Sunday 10/27 - 12:00PM - EverBank Field, Jacksonville, FL

Trevor Lawrence has all the talent in the world, but can he put it all together?

Jordan Love is everything Trevor Lawrence was supposed to be coming out of the 2021 NFL Draft. Lawrence was picked to be the guy, but has failed to live up to the lofty expectations of being the #1 overall pick. Love, however, dominates Lawrence in just about every statistical category despite the fact that the Jaguars have built their entire team around the former Clemson star, giving him every opportunity to succeed.

This is a make or break year for Lawrence, and the Jaguars QB has too much natural talent to let down. Look for him to have a good statistical season, but he won't enjoy playing against an angry Packers defense coming off of a loss. Love will assert his dominance, and the Packers defense will turn the corner with an impressive road win.

Prediction: Green Bay 23, Jaguars 13

Record: 6-2

Interesting Fact: Newly signed Jaguar and former Packer Darnell Savage will play his first game against Green Bay.

Week Nine: vs Detroit Lions - Sunday 11/3 - 3:25PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Jordan Love: Lion Killer

The 6-2 Green Bay Packers will look to assert dominance over the team that finally got over the hump to win the NFC North last year. The accomplishment was so rare that the jubilant Detroit Lions even proudly hung the division championship banner over Ford Field. The G on the Packers helmet stands for greatness. They don't play for division titles; they play for Super Bowl Championships. Nonetheless, look for Green Bay to take great joy in dismantling the Lions on their way to a division championship and a run deep into the playoffs.

Prediction: Green Bay 40, Detroit 13

Record: 7-2

Interesting Fact: The Detroit Lions moved up one spot ahead of the Green Bay Packers in this year's draft, just to steal Alabama CB Terrion Arnold.

Week 10: Bye Week

Week 11: @ Chicago Bears - Sunday 11/17 - 12:00PM - Soldier Field, Chicago, IL

New Bears QB Caleb Williams grew up a fan of Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers.

Every year two things happen. First, the Chicago Bears win the offseason. Then the Packers dominate the Bears in the regular season. These facts are as sure as the sun rising in the east.

The domination of the Chicago Bears goes all the way back to the very beginning of the Favre era, and to this day the Packers still consistently annihilate the Chicago Bears on the field.

In the next chapter of history repeating itself, the Bears once again have a new rookie quarterback, a savior destined to lead the team out of misery and destitution. This time it's #1 draft pick Caleb Williams, who is "guaranteed" to bring the Bears the Super Bowl title that has eluded the franchise since 1985.

To shore up what was last year's worst group of receivers, the Bears brought in the aging Keenan Allen and used the second of its two first round picks on Rome Odunze.

Despite the added firepower, look for the new-look Bears to struggle mightily against this Packers defense. Like Aaron Rodgers and Brett Favre before him, Jordan Love is a bonafide Bear killer. Look for a well-rested Packers team coming off the bye, to continue its dominance against Chicago.

Prediction: Green Bay 33, Chicago 6

Record: 8-2

Interesting Fact: Since 2009, the Packers record against the Bears is 22-4. That doesn't include the 2010 NFC Championship game, in which the Packers eliminated the Bears from the playoffs en route to a Super Bowl Championship. Over that time period, the Bears have started 17 different quarterbacks.

Week 12: vs San Francisco 49ers - Sunday 11/24 - 3:25PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Vengeance will be had!

The 49ers have long been a thorn in Green Bay's side, and that is a massive understatement. Especially under Matt LaFleur, the Packers can't seem to get past the 49ers in the playoffs. The aggressive 49ers defense stifled Aaron Rodgers for much of his career in Green Bay, and things didn't go much better with Jordan Love at the helm last year. San Francisco always makes the little plays and those make the difference between winning and losing. Throughout the years, the 49ers have been tougher, and more aggressive, but as the great prophet Bob Dylan once said, "Times, they are-a-changin'."

Green Bay's defense added a whole lot of thump in this year's draft selecting players known for their physicality like; Edgerrin Cooper, Javon Bullard, Ty'Ron Hopper, Evan Williams, Kitan Oladapo, and Kalen King. Added to a team that already features pests like Rashan Gary, Jaire Alexander, Kenny Clark and free agent addition Xavier McKinney, physicality will no longer be an issue for this year's Packers team. Look for a low-scoring defensive struggle, but this time the game goes the other way, and the Packers finally get the monkey off their backs, and best former teammate De'Vondre Campbell in the process.

The Packers remember the sting of last year's playoff elimination and vengeance will be had!

Prediction: Packers 20, 49ers 13

Record 9-2

Interesting Fact: Since 2019, the Packers are 2-4 against the 49ers overall, including three playoff losses.

Week 13: vs Miami Dolphins - Thursday 11/28 - 7:20PM - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Tua Tagovailova were each selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Pass the gravy and stuffing, the Packers are playing on Thanksgiving! Against the Lions? Nope. The Cowboys then? No, not at all. Green Bay gets a prime time night game against Tua Tagovailova and the Miami Dolphins.

Last year, FOX host Greg Olsen ate the turkey leg that was rightfully earned by Green Bay quarterback Jordan Love, a slight that won't soon be forgotten. Look for Love to shine in the first ever head-to-head match up against fellow 2020 first rounder Tua Tagovailova.

The Dolphins put up a lot of points at home, but they struggle mightily on the round, especially when Mother Nature gets involved. Look for that trend to continue at the hallowed ground of Lambeau Field, as the Packers defense stymies Tagovailova. Jordan Love shines and takes back his long-awaited turkey leg.

Prediction: Packers 24, Dolphins 16

Record: 10-2

Interesting Fact: While Green Bay has played on Thanksgiving 36 times in their 100 plus year history, the game has only been played at Lambeau Field twice before, and never against the Miami Dolphins.

Week 14: @ Detroit Lions - Thursday 12/5 - 7:15PM - Ford Field, Detroit, MI

Green Bay won't forget all the disrespect coming from Detroit.

The last time Green Bay played the Detroit Lions in Detroit, Jordan Love and his teammates were absolutely magical. The underdog Packers came into Ford Field on Thanksgiving Day and Love delivered a flawless performance that resulted in three passing touchdowns and a Packers victory.

That was a Packers team without its starting running back and a poorly coached defense. This year's inevitable beatdown may be even worse for the Detroit Lions, as this Packers team is much improved. Look for Love to take advantage of Detroit's secondary, utilizing all of his weapons, while Jacobs, Lloyd, and Dillon help play keep-a-way. Jaire Alexander is the perfect answer for Detroit star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown. This will all come together as a recipe for success for Green Bay and disaster for the Lions. All of the above and the Packers will sweep Detroit for the first time since 2020.

Prediction: Packers 29, Lions 17

Record: 11-2

Interesting Fact: While Detroit has recently come into its own, Green Bay still holds a decisive advantage against the Lions at 106-76-7. The two teams have also played each other twice in the playoffs, with Green Bay winning both times. Green Bay's most lopsided win in their long and illustrious history came against the Lions, topping the team 50-7 in 1940.

Week 15: @Seattle Seahawks - Sunday 12/15 - 7:20PM CST - Lumen Field, Seattle, WA

Seattle has been a place of unending terror for the Packers.

Coming off a big season sweep against the Detroit Lions, the Green Bay Packers head into one of the NFL's best home-field advantages primed for a let-down. Seattle has been a place of nightmares for the Green Bay Packers.

Led by veteran QB Gino Smith and star WR D.K. Metcalf, the Seahawks aren't the team to sleep on either. New head coach Mike Macdonald is a defensive guru that is certain to have his team ready to play a physical and aggressive style that will prove difficult to overcome on the road.

Predictions: Seahawks 23, Packers 13

Record: 11-3

Interesting Fact: The last time the Green Bay Packers won in Seattle was way back in 2008.

Week 16: vs New Orleans Saints - Monday 12/23 - 7:15PM CST - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Jordan Love vs the New Orleans Saints

Look for the Packers to bounce back underneath the primetime lights of Lambeau Field, although it won't exactly be easy. New Orleans had one of the best defenses in the league last year, allowing just under 20 points per game.

The Saints are also led by QB Derek Carr, who looks to add to what was an impressive first year in New Orleans. Look for Carr to work the field and attempt to stifle the Packers defense by involving utility knives Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill.

Still, it will take a lot more to hold back the Packers at home. Look for Jordan Love to have a big name while a combination of Josh Jacobs and A.J. Dillon closes it out late.

Last year, Green Bay bested New Orleans by a single point. This year, it won't be nearly as close.

Prediction: Green Bay 27, New Orleans 17

Record: 12-3

Interesting Fact: The Packers meet a familiar foe in Equanimeous St. Brown. The former Chicago Bear and Green Bay Packer is now a Saint. He looks to join forces with star receiver Chris Olave, to give the team an impressive receiving duo.

Week 17: @ Minnesota Vikings - Sunday 12/29 - 12:00PM CST - U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, MN

Jordan Love: Viking Slayer

Green Bay had an easy time with Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings in our last hypothetical matchup, but attempting a season sweep of a division rival is never an easy task.

This time, the Vikings should have rookie J.J. McCarthy under center, but it won't be enough to compete with the high-powered Packers, who have too much weaponry on both sides of the ball. In what should be a high scoring game for Jordan Love and the offense, look for Green Bay to complete the sweep, embarrassing former Packers RB Aaron Jones and his new teammates in purple.

Prediction: Green Bay 37, Minnesota 16

Record: 13-3

Interesting Fact: Last year's 33-10 win at Minnesota was Green Bay's biggest in the state since 2010 when Aaron Rodgers led the Packers to a 31-3 drubbing over the Vikings.

Week 18: vs Chicago Bears - Times TBA - Lambeau Field, Green Bay, WI

Quay Walker took it to the house in last year's game against the Chicago Bears.

It is possible - even likely - that the Packers have nothing to play for in the season finale against rookie QB Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears. This is when the Bears have the best chance to pull off an upset victory over the more talented Packers franchise. A win would give a fanbase looking for anything to hold onto, desperately needed offseason hope. Even a meaningless win would give arrogant Bears fans fodder against the Packers until they meet again, but don't look for it to happen here.

Green Bay has an opportunity to once again eliminate the hated Bears from playoff contention, something the Packers will relish. If Green Bay plays at full strength, Chicago simply doesn't have enough to stay on the field with this Packers team. Look for a big day from Josh Jacobs and the Packers run game in what will likely be frigid temperatures.

Prediction: Green Bay 23, Chicago 13

Record: 14-3

Interesting Fact: It's been nearly 20 years since the Bears beat the Packers in December at Lambeau. That happened way back on Christmas Day 2005, when Brett Favre was the Packers starting QB and Rex Grossman started for the Chicago Bears.

Playoffs:

- In our scenario the Green Bay Packers finish as the NFC North Champions with a 14-3 record. They enter the playoffs as the NFC's #2 seed.

- In their playoff opener, Green Bay would play the #7 seed Detroit Lions at home. We have Green Bay beating Detroit for the third time to advance to the NFC Divisional Round.

- In the Divisional Round, Green Bay plays #3 seed Philadelphia Eagles and wins at home.

- In the NFC Championship Game, the Green Bay Packers travel to L.A. to avenge an earlier loss in the season.

- The Green Bay Packers will play in the Super Bowl against C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans. Similar to the NFC Championship Game, Green Bay will avenge their in-season loss to the Texans and win Super Bowl 58.
